Butterflies are Back

Today I thought I'd share a few of the cards from the Creative Convention Online I participated in during April.  These cards were originally designed by Ronda Wade and Maggie Patterson, but I modified them a little bit based on what my customers were buying at the time so they had more options with their new supplies.

The Butterfly Basics is one of my favorite sets.  I really like two of the sayings. Everyone can always use a happy birthday and "Sending wishes your way" works for most occasions.  To me, that's the sign of a good stamp set - can you not only make pretty things, but can you also use it for multiple occasions.  Course, if you looked in the craft cave, you'd see that I still buy a lot of stamps just because I love one or two images.  Being a demonstrator for 10+ years can do that to a person. :)

Anyhow, back to these great cards.

For the first card, I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks, along with Pool Party for the butterfly so it would stand out.  Wouldn't this be great to have on hand for either sympathy cards or even Mother's Day?  This card uses the Apothecary Accents Framelit that is retiring soon.

The second card is a similar color combination. It uses Soft Sky and Sahara Sand and features other stamps in that great set.  I am IN LOVE with my Starburst Framelits and am more than bummed to see them retiring. The bow on the butterfly is done by pulling the linen thread from the White Jute Ribbon in the catalog.

Remember that retired products are only available while supplies last so if you want any of these great framelits used on these cards or the versatile Designer Series Papers, you must act before June 2nd!

Check out these options at my online store: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=80380.  Please use hostess code VKFQ3UWJ when checking out.

Have a craftastic day,
Stacy
