Black and White Wonderland

There are many perks to having your mom be a fellow demonstrator.  She helps you prep, she supports your business with referrals and sales, she inspires you daily, and she gives you cards to use as samples that you would never think of. Well, maybe not everyone's mom does this but mine sure does.  She's amazing.

Today I'm sharing her black and white Christmas card featuring the Winter Wonderland product suite.  The Winter Wonderland Speciality Designer Series Paper is a more subtle way to decorate for the holidays.  While this card is black, white, and silver, the paper pack is actually black, white and gold.  The card also features a 2 1/2  Circle of the Fancy Foil Holiday Vellum.

If you aren't a fan of dimples on your thinlits, consider getting the Precision Cutting Mat.  I love that it adds texture to the words just using my cutting mats but know that some prefer a different look.

Seasonal Gift Card Bags

When we think gift card holders, we often think of flat envelopes like I have shared before.  Did you know that you can make a great gift card holder out of a treat bag using the Treat Bag Maker?  If you use the small measurements on a 10 x 5 1/2 strip of paper, it will fit a gift card inside before you tie it up.  Cute and functional! This project was designed for our Christmas is October camps by Cris McCarthy (my mom and fellow demonstrator!)

Punch two banners of red and Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum using the Triple Punch.  You staple those banners to the front of the bag.  Then you stamp the saying from the Oh, What Fun stamp set using Cucumber Crush ink and punch it out with the decorative label.  That is mounted on a 1 1/2 circle of Real Red and layered on the bag using dimensionals.  Tie it closed with a piece of our 1/8 Striped Rea Red ribbon from the holiday catalog and you have a cute bag that was fun to make and fun to give!

A Flurry of Bling - Christmas Card

When I looked in the holiday catalog for the first time, there was one stamp set that jumped off the page and called out to my credit card.  The Flurry of Wishes stamp set is photopolymer and can be bundled with the Snow Flurry Punch for great coordination.  The medium stamp in this set coordinates with our Flower Medallion punch, letting me use my spring products for the winter which I love!

 

For this card, I used a 5 x 1 strip of our Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum and attached it to the card under the Silver Glitter paper.  The snowflake and sentiment are stamped in Smoky Slate and added to the card with dimensionals.  In the center of the big flower is a small iced rhinestone - a beautiful embellishment if ever there was one!  I added a few basic rhinestones to keep it company and we were off to the races with this beauty!
