Celebrating Creativity - Day 30

Almost done for the month but the samples will keep coming long after July is done. My pre-pre-order will be in the house soon and I will get a head start on creating some wonderful projects!

This card was originally designed by Ronda Wade for Creative Convention Online.  I fell in love with this card - what a great use of washi tape, Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper, and accents.

The card is so much fun to make - cannot wait to get out my other color combos and see what happens!

As a reminder, this camp is going to be on August 22nd from 10am-12pm.  If you are interested in the class, the cost is $42 and includes five cards, the Watercolor Words stamp set, and a packet of White Accents, plus a little extra item.  If you are interested in this kit to go, the cost is $42 plus shipping.  RSVP with payment by August 4th.

Please check out the other entries this week if you'd like to see all the great samples for the class!

Celebrating Creativity - Day 29

Another day, another great camp card originally designed by Ronda Wade for Creative Convention Online.  This stamp set is included in my class kit and it will be one that you use more than you'd ever imagine.  Trust me!

As mentioned yesterday, the cards were originally designed using sequins, I substituted out White Accents because they were easier for my little fingers to work with.

This card features Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry.  The strip of washi tape is from the Cherry on Top collection.  So beautiful as a layout - I can see substituting other papers for any of these cards and having them be beautiful!  And what a great use for all that washi tape we've all been buying!

Come back tomorrow to see another card in the kit.

Celebrating Creativity - Day 28

Today I'm bringing you another great card from my Watercolor Words camp on August 22nd.  This camp features projects originally designed by Ronda Wade and provided during Creative Convention Online.  This stamp set is so versatile and I find it has had more use than anything else in the mini catalog.

While the cards were originally designed using sequins, I substituted out White Accents for those because I was tired of gluey fingers.  There is a fix for that in the new holiday catalog that you are all going to want and enjoy but since this class is before it's available, we'll go with the accents.

The paper is the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper which is embossed white and lets you color on it with daubers.  This one is done with Lost Lagoon and Mint Macaron ink.  So good for weddings, good news, etc.  Ronda gave a tip on using this paper that I want to pass along.  When using a dauber, you will want to ink it up and then swipe it off on a scrap piece first. If not you get some dark areas that you can't lighten by sponging.

Celebrating Creativity - Days 26 & 27

So I left you hanging yesterday on my 31 days of creativity - sorry about that!  I guess stamping is a strength but counting is not....  Convention was wonderful and once my kids let me unpack, I have some great samples to share!

Today I'll bring you TWO of my cards from my next camp.  These cards were designed originally by Ronda Wade and were make-n-takes from Creative Convention Online.  I loved the cards she designed and had to buy the stamp set after seeing the samples.  This stamp set has turned into one of my favorites - it has become my go to stamp set for sentiments.

This camp is going to be on August 22nd from 10am-12pm.  If you are interested in the class, the cost is $42 and includes five cards, the Watercolor Words stamp set, and a packet of White Accents, plus a little extra item.  If you are interested in this kit to go, the cost is $42 plus shipping.  RSVP with payment by August 4th.

This first design is my simple card.  I designed it because I wanted to teach a card using each stamp in this kit and the make-n-take covered the rest of the stamps!  It uses a black marker around the edges of a Crumb Cake notecard.  Then I inked up the Happy Birthday with the marker and stamped in the middle of the card.  I stamped the flower on a scrap of Crumb Cake and cut it out.  Then I stamped the leaf on the card and layered the flower on a dimensional.  The center of the flower is a White Accent - one of my favorite new products in the Annual catalog.

The second card was originally done in Vanilla but I wanted to change it out to use the White Accents on the butterfly.  The antennae are made using our silver metallic cord which comes off backorder on July 31st!  The card utilizes the Color Me Irresistable DSP in Mint Macaron (a 2015-2017 In Color).  The ink is Tip Top Taupe, another 2015-2017 In Color.

Come back tomorrow to see another card in the kit.
