2018 Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Alternative Ideas

Today is the last day of the annual catalog.  This is a very overwhelming time for me as we transition to new products and I'm getting the stare down from products I bought and haven't used yet.  Arg!  Each year I say I'll do better and each year is the same thing.  But since I'm co-leading my daughter's troop next year, I am sure I can get some love from those girls with these products!

While I'm still trying to figure out what I'll be doing with my retired supplies, I thought I'd get my Paper Pumpkin samples from the May 2018 Manly Moments posted so I can at least be caught up there!

Stampers that subscribe with me receive an alternative project sheet with step by step instructions for these projects, tips and tricks for completing the original kit, and an opportunity to come to my house to make these projects using their kits and my additional supplies. They also get a card in the mail.  While you can't get this full kit, you can join us for June to get the next kit.  Even if you aren't local, you can sign up HERE. I take care of my out of town subscribers too!  Just make sure you sign up by June 10th to get our great June kit.

Here is the original project using this kit.  The stamp set has sentiments for Father's Day, Birthday, Thank You, Anniversary, and more.

Let's get on with the alternative samples, shall we?

Graduation is a Sweet Soiree

There are so many moments that a mother can be proud of with her children.  No, it's not when they flush the entire roll of toilet paper down the toilet or when they have a screaming contest and the loudest child wins an ear ache.  No, it's more like the pride they take in accomplishing something, the kindness they show others, and the milestones they accomplish.  But we know that it takes a village to make these little humans grow into amazing people.  While I give credit to my family and my children's teachers, the other unsung hero in a child's life is their babysitter.

Now, babysitters are life savers for adults as well.  They ensure that we can actually spend time away from the sippy cups and constant potty reminders.  They let us slip away into a world where we can have a nice dinner without any ranch and even have a cocktail without hearing "that smells gross" even one time.

Today, one of my children's babysitters is graduating high school.  While bittersweet for our family, this exceptional young woman is heading off to Gonzaga in the Fall.  Though she is leaving our town behind for a while to explore the next chapter of her adventure, she is leaving a legacy here with my kids.  This young lady has taught them patience and kindness. She has made time for both of them and will play whatever they want to play.  She has shown them the power of service and the importance of school.  She listens, she laughs, and she loves.  She has molded these hearts and minds and I will always be grateful.  The world is at her fingertips and she is going to be amazing at whatever direction she goes.

What do you give an amazing person that had made so many memories with your kids?  I dug deep and decided to make her a scrapbook for her adventure.  Even if this is a generation of selfie takers, I know that she will fill it with photos of things that she loves.  And yes, I did slip a few photos of the kiddos in there.  To go with it, I made this sweet card using my favorite previously retired set, The Art of Life.

This card is made using a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Sweet Soiree DSP.  The other strip is 4 3/4 and is the other side of the silver embossed DSP.  Isn't it gorgeous????  I tied a piece of White Twine around the DSP and tied it in a bow with one of our Petal Passion embellishments on the bottom.   I recommend using a glue dot behind your bow because when you sit it up to admire how cute it is, the weight of the embellishment just mind undo the bow......

Just like our babysitter, this paper and these embellishments will be gone soon.  The last day to purchase is May 31st so if you like the Sweet Soiree paper or the Petal Passion embellishments, make sure you get them in my online store while you can!

Order this bundle before the new catalog comes out.  After June 1st, you can get them individually but not as a bundle.
