Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - October and November 2023

Holiday Paper Pumpkin kits are my favorite and this year's kits were so fun with the house theme.  The October 2023 kit (Home for the Holidays) included enough supplies to make 8 cards, 4 each of 2 designs.  As Christmas cards need to be easy, these cards could be assembled quickly and sent out the door.  Or you could spruce them up even more by cutting up the pieces and making your own creations.  The November kit (Warm Wishes) included supplies to make 8 treat boxes.  There was also an option to purchase an add-on to the kit which included 20 5 x 7 cards with envelopes.

WHAT'S INSIDE?  All Paper Pumpkin kits come with instructions so anyone can create the projects found inside the box.  There is also a video tutorial that Stampin' Up! posts for those that are more visual or auditory learners.  Kits always include an exclusive photopolymer stamp set, an ink spot, adhesive, and all the pieces needed for the project.  First time subscribers also get a clear block that will work with all Paper Pumpkin stamp sets.

WHAT'S THE COST? The cost of the monthly subscription is $24.50 (which includes the shipping) plus your local sales tax.  You have until the 10th of the month to sign up for the kit and it arrives around the 18th of the month.  They are great for all level of crafters, make wonderful gifts after assembled or before, and allow a great opportunity to take some time for yourself.  You can also purchase pre-paid subscriptions to earn things like Sale-a-Bration rewards or for gifting but you will pay shipping & tax on that purchase up front.

ANY PERKS FOR SUBSCRIBING?  There is!  For my subscribers, I do an alternatives idea share via Zoom on the 4th Monday of every month.  That is when I share how I made my projects, talk about coordinating products, sneak peek upcoming promotions for Stampin' Up!, and more.  These idea shares are open to anyone that is interested in learning more or doing more with their kits.  I also offer a tips & tricks sheet with step by step instructions for all my alternatives.  Subscribers are also able to purchase additional kits while supplies last on my Online Store.

Below are the projects that I designed using the Warm Wishes and Home for the Holidays Paper Pumpkin kits.  Check out the Promotions page for more information on upcoming kits and to sign up!

This card was shown to me by my aunt who saw it on "Stamp Your Art Out" by Rachel Tessman. I love being inspired by customers, family, and other demonstrators!  I could not find the card to link to directly but you can visit her blog here: Home - Stamp Your Art Out!  The only change I made was to add the piece I cut off the card to the back to help give it stability and the label looked a little different.

Back to my original designs....

Another interruption - this was designed by Elizabeth Price. This one I could find the direct link to: Seeing Ink Spots: A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Home for the Holidays

Back to my designs again....

I do a LOT of memory keeping in December.  I always use our Memories and More collection to design my scrapbook but I end up with a lot of photos that don't fit.  So I used the Add-On cards and envelopes to create a mini album for mementos.

To complete my projects, I did add some additional supplies that weren't part of the Paper Pumpkin kits.

  • Ink: Night of Navy, Memento Black
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
  • Blends: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, and Daffodil Delight
  • Tools & More: Scissors, Dimensionals, Needle (for book binding with Linen Thread), Stylish Shapes Dies, Cut & Emboss Machine, Wink of Stella, Lemon Lolly Ribbon
I hope you enjoyed these samples.  Please consider subscribing for the January 2024 kit so you can join me on this creative adventure into 2024.

Have a craftastic day,
Stacy
