This card was from my workshop on Saturday and reminds me of Sunday mornings. The crazy hair on this bird is how I'd love to wear mine all day every day but I think the other moms during school pickup would have some judgements on that one and Callie might be a wee bit embarrassed!
If you like this stamp set, you have to earn it during Sale-a-Bration, which lasts through March 31st!
For this card, I just put a 6 x 1 strip of the Urban Underground DSP on the top and bottom of the folded Crumb Cake card. Then we trimmed off the ends and set them aside. The middle piece is embossed using the Hexagon Dynamic embossing folder (this thing is AMAZING) and added to the center of the card. Stamp the saying carefully so you don't get borders, cut the end, and add to the card using adhesive. The bird is stamped in Archival Black ink and punched using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (swoon - using them on everything!) Color him with the Delightful Dijon marker. Add the two little scraps of DSP to the top and add the paper clip. Then tie the black twine into a bow. Mount the bird to the card using dimensionals.
Thank you to Kimberly Van Diepen for the idea of using this bird with the Urban Underground DSP and hexagon folder - from there the creativity just took flight.... Get it?
