From Fall to Christmas

Today's cards show how important color selection can be.  I wanted to do a quick card featuring fall colors but while I worked on it, I realized that I also liked this idea for Christmas.  By swapping out ink and cardstock colors for each card and changing the accent threads, you get two seasonal cards just by the colors alone.

The fall card has warm tones of Very Vanilla & Cajun Craze.  The wreath is done by sponging on the Cajun Craze and Garden Green inks and then huffing on them before stamping on the page.  I added the copper thread and a few plain pearls to this one and layered it up on a 4 1/4 square card.

The Christmas card is stamped in Garden Green ink and has the gold thread around it.  I colored a few pearls using a retired Blendability marker (a red Sharpie works as well) and layered the saying up on dimensionals.

Two cards but one great feeling of holiday happiness!

• Cardstock: Very Vanilla or Whisper White (4 1/4 x 8 1/2, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4, scrap), Cherry Cobbler or Cajun Craze (3 1/2 x 3 1/2)
