Introducing Lovely Lipstick

Today is a showcase of the 2nd new In Color for the 2018-2020 collection, Lovely Lipstick.  This color is beautiful.  It's a darker and richer pink than we had with Rose Red (retired) and a deeper than our bright Melon Mambo.

I bought the Stitched All Around stamp set because of a special woman in my life who uses the word fabulous and it just makes you feel good when you hear it.  I decided all the fabulous women and men in my life need a card reminding them of that so this is the first one I designed and I'm sticking to it!

For this project, I again looked to the Stitched All Around stamp set and Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.  Paired with the 2018-2020 In Color Designer Paper Stack, the possibilities are endless.

To make this card, start with a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White that is scored at 4 1/4 and folded.  Add a 5 1/2 x 1 1/4 piece of Lovely Lipstick to the card using adhesive.  Add a 5 x 1 piece of DSP below that using adhesive.

Ink up the vine and stamp above the Lovely Lipstick. You need to stamp it twice to get all the way across but that's okay since you cover up any gap with your label!

Speaking of labels, now you stamp the saying in Lovely Lipstick and run through the Big Shot using the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies and the magnetic platform.  This is a red shade so depending on your ink pad, you might want to let it dry for a minute before running through a Big Shot.  Pop out the little pieces using your Big Shot Brush and layer on the card using dimensionals.

Cut a small stitched heart using the framelits and add to the card with a mini dimensional.

And then finish it off by giving it to someone special in your life, just because they are FABULOUS!
