Sale-a-Bration is an Epic Celebration

I was so excited to discover the Epic Celebrations set in the Sale-a-Bration offerings this year. Today I am posting the first of three cards made using this combo.  This is the card that started it all.  I wanted a boy birthday card for a musician friend's son.  I wanted some patterns but nothing too complicated since I wanted to cut out the guitar and I only had a few minutes.  

To make this, layer a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla on a folded 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Tranquil Tide.  Add a 1 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of the plaid to the card about 3/4" from the right side.  Stamp the Epic statement in Night of Navy.  Add the 1 x 4 piece of DSP to the left side (again, about 3/4 from the side).  Stamp the guitar in Night of Navy ink on a scrap of Vanilla and cut out.  Layer on the card using dimensionals.

• Cardstock/DSP: Very Vanilla, Tranquil Tide, True Gentleman DSP
• Ink: Night of Navy
• Stamp Set: Epic Celebrations (SAB Level 1)
• Accessories: Adhesive, Scissors, and Dimensionals

Paper Pumpkin Samples - December 2017 - Flora and Flutter

The holidays are almost over for my McClan.  Just a few more celebrations with family coming into town this weekend and then the snowmen collection will go back into storage and the house will be messy again with kids toys instead of, well, kids toys and Christmas decorations.

It's been a great holiday for our family and I have lots of hopes for 2018.  But more on that tomorrow.  Today I wanted to share my samples for the December 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit - Flora and Flutter.  First off, this kit was a little hard on my eyes when it first came - it was so different than all the colors floating around the house for the holidays and I put it away until after Christmas was over.  Today I pulled it out and created things with my daughter.  She loved all the bling and brightness and it definitely grew on me as I created with it.  I hope you find some inspiration here for your kits.

Let's get on with the samples.  This month's kit has supplies to make 8 cards, 4 each of two designs, with envelopes.  The projects were a little harder to adhere but quite easy to stamp.  If you have any issues getting your adhesive strips off the sheet, just peel the backing off first and then press the sheet into your card - they transfer very easy that way!
