A Week of Tag Talk - For You

My college colors were purple and gold.  I am feeling very nostaligic as I work with our new In Colors: Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey.  Maybe that's why these two colors speak to me so much and I've been using them on EVERYTHING!

This card was inspired by the layout I found here.  The page no longer exists but the demonstrator, Erin Gonzales, deserves the starting credit for this cute card.

I liked the idea of stamping the horizontal strip on the card and then layering the DSP on top of that at the same angle.  I laid my beautiful ribbon on the DSP when I cut it so that both pieces had the same degree of slant (OCD anyone?)  Then I stamped the image and layered it up using dimensionals.  There are a few rhinestones on this piece too, because it needed just a little more dazzle for me.

This stamp set really is more beautiful in person than in the catalog.

Supplies:

  • Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Moonlight DSP Pack
  • Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey
  • Stamp: Gorgeous Grunge, Tag Talk
  • Accessories: Bracket Punch, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Scissors, Adhesive and Dimensionals
The Tag Talk cards that I am posting this week are part of my summer Tag Talk card class.  I will be teaching this class a few times at my house over the summer but can also prep it and teach it to you and your family and friends for $10 a kit.  Leave me a comment or email me if you are interested in setting up a class of your own!

TIP:
If you have clear mount stamps that aren't sticking to the block, try using a squiggly line of 2 Way glue on the sticker.  Then let it dry and it will be just tacky enough to hold the image on your block without you having to wipe the glue off the end!
