A Week of Tag Talk - Happy Birthday

In the last year I have taken advantage of some great business conventions online taught by fellow demonstrators.  When we do these Online Creative Conventions with Ronda Wade and Maggie Patterson, we can get a make-n-take kit with pre-cut supplies that we put together using their instructions.  I am addicted to kits, more so than I am to crafting supplies (yikes) and I love taking their layouts and applying them to other sets that I have!

One card that we did in these packets was with Starburst Sayings.  The card was vertical and we used a strip of paper from the Fresh Prints DSP pack, twine, and the fringe scissors on it.  It became my favorite layout for all my Spring cards.  I took that same card idea and turned it on it's side to create this horizontal card.  This one would also look great embossed but I wanted to show the Tuxedo Black ink pad to my customers since it looks so good on our Whisper White cardstock (and also comes off your stamps, a true plus for those that HATE black on their stamps!)

The Happy Birthday is stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the Bracket punch.  Then you layer it on a 1 3/4 Circle and put that on dimensionals.  The DSP is our Back to Black paper which is going to be really fun to play with.  The twine is also new, and comes now in 10 colors.

Supplies:

  • Papers: Back to Black DSP, Whisper White, Basic Black
  • Stamp: Tag Talk
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Accessories: Fringe Scissors, Basic Black Baker's Twine, 1 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Scissors, and Adhesive
The Tag Talk cards that I am posting this week are part of my summer Tag Talk card class.  I will be teaching this class a few times at my house over the summer but can also prep it and teach it to you and your family and friends for $10 a kit.  Leave me a comment or email me if you are interested in setting up a class of your own!
