For this first one, I was inspired by a brief view of Tami White. She showed how you get the light background on the patterned balloons by stamping them off. I took that one step further and stamped a solid Curry balloon first and then stamped it again. Then I did the striped balloon second at full strength so it has two shades with one ink pad. I also changed the final sample I'm teaching to use the largest square Stitched Shape Framelit for the Whisper White piece.
Supplies:
- Cardstock/DSP: Whisper White, Party Animal DSP (retiring)
- Ink: Crushed Curry
- Stamp Set: Balloon Adventures (retiring)
- Big Shot: None
- Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Triple Banner Punch, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Scissors, Adhesive
The second sample features the Tasty Treats DSP and Cool Treats stamp set. Excited to see this stamp set and framelit are sticking around even though the bundle and the paper is retiring, along with all the embellishments. Don't miss out on this one either! For the washi tape, I took a 3/8 strip of Whisper White and put the washi tape on it. Then I mounted that on the card so the tape would show up brightly against the white. A cool little trick whenever you are working with the washi tapes.
Supplies:
- Cardstock/DSP: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder (retiring), Tasty Treats DSP (retiring)
- Ink: Pear Pizzazz
- Stamp Set: Cool Treats
- Big Shot: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Cutting Mats, Frozen Treats Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits
- Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Tasty Treats Washi Tape (retiring), Dimensionals, Scissors, Glue Dots, Adhesive
GOING, GOING, GONE
I'm pretty bummed that the Balloon Adventures set is being retired - it's so versatile. You can see what supplies and stamp sets are being retired by visiting my online store!

WHAT IS PAPER PUMPKIN?
They tell you to sell what you love and I love Paper Pumpkin. Paper Pumpkin gives you a chance to be creative and take some time for yourself. With instructions and supplies included, you can relax and make something that will brighten your day and the person you give it to. Sending cards is great but there is something special about getting one in the mail that someone took the time to make themselves.
Paper Pumpkin is creativity in a box. It costs $19.95 plus tax and ships to your mailbox once a month. It contains everything you need for your own creative escape. Besides the instructions and pieces for the cards or project, it also contains ink and photopolymer stamps and usually the adhesive you need as well. My subscribers will also get a project sheet with tips and additional ideas and instructions that they can make with the supplies in the kits and sometimes some supplemental supplies. They also are invited to participate in a free Paper Pumpkin Playdates to make their kits using any of my additional supplies like framelits and punches! It's a wonderful program and I'd love for you to try it out! Sign up by the 10th of the month to get that month's kit!
