A Week of Pinwheel Party - 4th of July Wreath

The final project from my week of Pinwheel Party projects from My Paper Pumpkin is my favorite.  I wanted to make a wreath for my door for the 4th but I didn't have any wreath molds or circle frames to use.  So I started playing with the paper straws to see if they would hook together and make a wreath frame for me.  I used the baker's twine to wrap around the center of all the straws to make the frame hold.  Then I stamped with the photopolymer stamps using the banners from the kit and made them wavy using a paper straw to wrap around them.  I layered them with dimensionals to cover up the baker's twine.

I made one pinwheel using each side of the paper - so six in all - and attached them to the paper straws using the brad legs and glue dots.  In hindsight, I would recommend using a hot glue gun so that it will hang on the door and stick together longer than mine did.

This project was very fast and very cute.  I can't wait to make more of them!

Have a craftastic day,
Stacy
