To a Classic

When I opened the Occasions catalog in January, a specific stamp set jumped out at me.  It took several months for me to find the perfect idea for it but I've been creating a lot with it since this icebreaker!

Guy Greetings has something for every man in your life.  Be it father, husband, son, grandfather, uncle or tomboy, this set has great sayings to encourage and thank those important people in our lives.

One of my favorite things about this card is that the layout will work for multiple stamp sets and paper scraps.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock/DSP: Adventure Abounds DSP, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
  • Ink: Early Espresso
  • Stamp Set: Guy Greetings
  • Accessories: Starburst Framelits, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform and Mats, Hexagon Punch, Dimensionals
Instructions:
  • Cut a banner end in the bigger piece of DSP.  Lay on the Early Espresso cardstock and trim.
  • Stamp the car on the Vanilla Starburst.  Attach to the card as shown using adhesive.
  • Cut a banner end in the small blue piece of DSP.  Lay on the Early Espresso and trim.
  • Stamp To A Classic in EE ink on the strip of Vanilla.  Punch a banner end and layer on the card using dimensionals.  Trim anything that hangs over the end of the card.
  • Layer the EE on the Very Vanilla card with adhesive and stamp the saying on the inside.

At my camp, several lovely ladies flipped out the car for the hat set and then used it as a graduation and congrats card.  All good ideas.  Plus, the Adventure Abounds Paper Stack has so many masculine patterns that it's a must have!

Check out these options at my online store: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=80380.  Please use hostess code VKFQ3UWJ when checking out.

Have a craftastic day,
Stacy
