Blending with Butterfly Basics

While I'm still mourning the loss of my Blendabilities markers, there are still options available for pretty watercoloring.  This card is one of those.  I could have used the Memento Black and either the aqua painters or blender pens but I wanted to see how a blender pen on the stamped image would look.

I like the results though not my typical kind of card.  I love how the Mossy Meadow mixes with the Blackberry Bliss on the leaves by using the Blender Pen and the Mossy Meadow ink.  I am not a big fan of the lighter purple color that comes when you wet the Blackberry Bliss, but that's just because I love that color! I just stamped the flower in Blackberry and then rubbed the Blender Pen on the areas of the image that were already shaded to draw out that lighter color.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss
  • Stamp Set: Butterfly Basics
  • Accessories: Blender Pen, Linen Thread, Neutrals Buttons, Glue Dots, Scissors, Adhesive
This card was originally designed by Maggie Patterson and Ronda Wade for Creative Convention Online.  That is a series of training classes aimed towards demonstrators to help them be better at their jobs so we can all do a better job for you.  I've learned so much and love the creative style of these two women.  If you are interested in joining my team or any of these training opportunities, let me know!

Have a craftastic day,
Stacy
