Countdown to Christmas - Day 5

Yesterday was the first Sunday in December which meant it was time for our annual book club holiday gathering.  I love this event each year.  We get together, eat wonderful food, enjoy tasty beverages, exchange recommendations for the year, and then we pick a book that a fellow clubber brought and read a touching note inside as to why that book affected them.

With all our diversity comes a diverse grouping of food allergies.  We have citrus allergies (yay me), gluten sensitivities, lactose intolerance, and MSG allergies.  So when we make dishes for each other, we divide and conquer.

I made these cute food stands for our event.  They are simply a 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock folded at 4 1/4.  Then you take a 4 x 1/2 piece of cardstock and score at 1, 2, 3, & 4.  Bend into a "w" shape and staple the two ends to the bottom of the larger cardstock to make a stand.  I then typed up the rest in Word and printed four to a sheet on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut them to 3 x 4, added a small strip of the Candy Cane Washi tape to the bottom of each one, and attached with adhesive.  Easy peasy!

Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Real Red (3 1/4 x 8 1/2 - scored at 4 1/4, 4 x 1 - scored at 1, 2, & 3"), Very Vanilla (3 x 4)
  • Ink: None
  • Stamp Set: None
  • Accessories: Candy Cane Washi Tape, Adhesive, Stapler

WHAT IS PAPER PUMPKIN?

While we have many great products on closeout, there is one program that you really should check out as well.  I only sell things I'm passionate about and this product line is definitely one of my favorites!
